I broke my own rules (and here's what happened)

Hey there!

This week, I did what I do best when something's been nudging me for too long.

I paused everything else and went into the rabbit hole.

I've been feeling this pull towards creating a new income stream from one of my interests (within personal development space).

So this week, I finally caved. Spent countless hours in Veo 3, Midjourney, and Suno—just trying to capture what I was meant to create. I had this vision and I just felt this urge to play around and bring it to life.

It was so much fun. My favorite moments of flow where time completely disappears.

I'm so grateful I did it.

But of course - there's the other side. There's no YouTube video this week because I just didn't have the time. Postponing and breaking my own deadlines doesn't feel great. I'm still learning to navigate how to be okay with that.

Because here's what I know: not following that urge, or postponing it (which I've been doing for weeks), just drains me of creative energy. And ultimately, when that happens, I don't have energy for anything.

So yeah. I chose the creative quest. And I don't regret it.

the thing that usually stops us

My whole life, I've felt this expectation to stick to one thing. And if I couldn't stick to it long enough, then I was flaky. Inconsistent. Unreliable.

It took me years - and a lot of inner work with my coach and mentors - to actually understand that this is my superpower.

But still. The old conditioning comes knocking. That voice that says, "Oh no, you're doing this again."

And the phrase that always felt the most condescending when I applied it to myself:

"Jack of all trades, master of none."

You know how it is… you start things, you learn a lot of things, you want to do a lot of things, but in the end, you master none of them.

Except here's what I recently discovered: that's just a cutoff version - someone literally chopped off the ending.

The original quote goes like this:

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."

Yeah. Let that sink in.

Being multi-passionate, being curious, being willing to explore - that's not a weakness. It's an advantage. Especially now, when the ability to synthesize ideas across different domains is becoming one of the most valuable skills you can have.

you don't have to be the face of everything

I have no idea what this current creative quest will become. Likely a digital product line with some print-on-demand products and a different distribution channel. Maybe something else entirely. Right now, it's just exploration - and that feels exactly right.

Here's something I wish more people understood: when we explore new ideas or interests, we often see them through the lens of how others would perceive what we are doing.

We think we have to share everything, be the face of everything, connect every interest to our main “brand”.

But some interests are personal. Some creative quests don't need an explanation.

That's the beauty of building a solo business with multiple income streams - you don't actually have to tell anyone what you're doing.

You don't have to front every income stream.

You can create value and contribute without making it part of your public persona.

I know a lot of people hold back because they're thinking, "What would people think if I suddenly start creating & selling crochet pattern templates (which I am obsessed with) when my whole brand is about marketing?" or whatever.

And look - ideally, yes, you get to a point where you genuinely don't care what others think as long as it brings you joy (which will ultimately bring in đź’¸).

But I also understand that in the beginning, when your confidence isn't there yet, that's easier said than done.

The good news is that with AI and the digital tools we have now, you can actually test things without making a big deal out of them.

You can explore quietly. Build something small. See if it resonates. And if it does—great. If it doesn't - no one needs to know.

And then you try again.

And you know what is the worse thing that can happen if it doesn’t work out?

You build up a stack of extremely valuable skills in the creator economy, digital economy, online business and AI!!!

I’ve said this before and I say it again - pursuing your interests and figuring out how to apply AI to them is the best way to actually learn these skills.

By figuring it out, you build your skill stack.

a prompt for that thing that's been nudging you

If something's been knocking on your door lately - a creative project, a random interest, something that doesn't fit your "plan" - here's a prompt to help you uncover it and take the first steps:

Copy and paste this into ChatGPT, Claude, or any LLM:

I've been feeling drawn to [describe your interest/creative pull] for a while now, but I keep putting it off because [mention your hesitation - doesn't fit my business plan, feels impractical, don't know where to start, etc.].

Ask me questions to help me understand:
1. Why this keeps pulling at me
2. What my resistance is really about
3. What the smallest possible first step would look like—something I could do in under 2 hours this week
4. How this interest might naturally evolve into something valuable (even if I can't see it yet)

Help me give myself permission to explore this without needing to justify it with a business case.

This is important to get right, so take your time with this task.

you don’t have to do this alone

If you resonate with what I've been sharing - you'll find home in the AI Solopreneur Club.

I created this space because I wanted to be around people who are on the same journey. Where we can share what we're learning, build things together, explore new tools, support each other through the messy parts.

If you're multi-passionate, if you're exploring how to turn your interests into income streams with AI, if you want to build something that actually feels like you - you'll fit right in.

So if you've been curious about joining while we're still in beta, now's your chance.

It's free until we hit our first 100 members—so if you want lifetime free access and have a chance of shaping this community as we grow, this is the window.

We're still finding our flow.

Still early days.

But seeing the people who are joining, getting to know each other, learning in the Classroom, showing up to our weekly calls - it's been incredible.

I'm so excited for where this is going, and if this excites you too - I would love to meet you inside this inner circle.

If you are still reading

I know this email hasn't been packed with AI tools or strategies. But I felt it was important to share these unspoken, unseen parts of the journey that I know I'm not alone in experiencing.

That's why I'm sharing this. If something's been nudging you, try that prompt above. And if you want to share what comes up, hit reply.

Until next week,

Your AI Solopreneur Bestie,

Elena
