The 1% better rule that changed the game for me

and how mastering AI is the same game

Hey there!

I want to keep this short since it's Easter break, but there's something I've been thinking about that I just had to share with you.

I have been reflecting on this lately and it has completely transformed how I show up online (and frankly, it's the only reason I've made it almost 3 months into my YouTube journey for example, without missing a single upload).

The overthinking trap

I've spent YEARS overplanning and overthinking my Youtube channel (or the lack thereof). At some point I am pretty sure I bought a course on how to start a YouTube channel.

I tried to reverse engineer the "best" YouTube strategy, the "right" lead magnet, the "perfect" way to package my knowledge.

And…nothing happened.

Until I promised myself I'd just record ONE video and focus on making each video a little better than the last one.

It’s SO basic, I know!

But It's the only reason I've been able to stay consistent and not miss a single upload in my schedule.

Each time I create a video, I focus on improving just one thing:

  • How to add visuals

  • How to create a better thumbnail

  • How to write better scripts

It compounds faster than you think

Looking back at my first videos compared to now shows progress I never would have made if I'd waited until I felt "ready."

The same is happening across my entire business. Things that previously took me months of overthinking now just... happen.

Not only I allow myself to be imperfect, but it feels like PLAY and removes any pressure of expecting a certain outcome.

Mastering AI works the same way

This exact same approach applies to mastering AI.

It's like building a muscle—you don't get a six-pack by going to the gym once. You need to practice, practice, practice.

One of the biggest mistakes I see people making when they start wanting to learn how to leverage AI for their business is waiting until they've "mastered" it before implementing anything.

That's just not how it works.

The people winning in the AI space right now aren't the tech geniuses or prompt wizards— they're the consistent experimenters who just started somewhere.

They typed basic questions into ChatGPT, gave messy context with voice, got frustrated with results, tried Claude instead, got into Perplexity, tried a ton of other AI tools and ultimately just never stopped exploring.

While perfectionists were reading prompt engineering guides, these people were already leveling up their life and business through wildly imperfect action and by asking: How can AI help me with that?

New on YouTube: 7 Mistakes AI Solopreneurs Make

I just uploaded a new video breaking down the critical mistakes I see people making when trying to leverage AI for their online business.

While I forgot to include “never really starting“ as a mistake # 8, I cover mistakes like consumption-without-implementation trap and treating AI like a magic solution that hoping it would eliminate the learning curve of building a business.

Until next week,

Your AI Solopreneur Bestie,

Elena
